Ghost Brackets

Ghost Brackets

Ghost Brackets are a quick release saddlebag system that allows you put on or take off your saddlebags in roughly 2 seconds! The system is easy to install and once installed no tools are needed to remove your saddlebags. Installation is performed by removing the two bolts from your fender struts and replacing them with the new bolts which are called “keepers”. The brackets are then bolted on to your saddlebag and simply slides right on to the keepers. Lock the key and away you go! If you are going to remove your saddlebags you can purchase an EZ Carry handle to carry both bags with one handle utilizing the bracket attached to each bag.
Excerpt review from Rolling Thunder Magazine What makes Ghost Brackets so great is that they are:
  • Easy to install
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to take the bags on and off once the brackets are installed.
When you pull off the bags, there are no ugly brackets dangling in space to make the bike look like hell. This becomes even more important when you’ve invested a couple a grand in custom wheels, pulleys, rotors, calipers and such. When we pulled the bags off, our test Dyna returned to the clean uncluttered appearance that it was meant to have. I guess that’s why they’re called Ghost Brackets. When the bags were in place, we had no worries about them coming lose or falling off – a spring activated release mechanism has to be pulled on in order to release the bags. One other thing we did, and we do that with every nut and bolt on our Harleys, we used lock-tite on the slotted keepers that the bags slide into. If you follow the well-written, one page instructions, you’ll find the brackets are really EASY to install. We used these throughout the summer, riding in the Canyons and touring through Utah, Nevada and southern Wyoming for various photo shoots. But the real test came when we rode to Sturgis. The instructions told us not to pack more than 15 pounds into each bag, but I know we exceeded that recommendation during the Sturgis run. This is not to say you should carry your spare motor in the saddlebags you’ve got mounted with Ghost Brackets, but when it becomes necessary, we found they are capable of carrying a bit more than the recommended 15 pound limit. And again, what was really cool was when we reached Sturgis and took off the bags, the bike was clean – no unwanted bracket clutter to detract from the $1,200 billet wheel, matching billet pulley and PM rotor. It was just exactly the clean look we wanted. We give these guys a five star rating for a well designed, well made and very effective product. Product Demo
